Migration
Dynamics 365
CRM
As a trusted Cloud Migration Service provider, we can offer you CRM migration options if you still use an outdated and inconvenient system.
We provide a controlled phased transition with data cleaning and transformation, business logic, and workflow optimization.

Since 2007, we have been providing data migration services worldwide. We have experience implementing complex migrations with custom accelerators and stalled cloud projects.
Our key migration services include the following:
On your request, it can include an audit or project evaluation with functional, technical, and architectural reviews, a cloud-readiness check, a cloud-migration roadmap, a ready-to-use cloud strategy, and recommendations from cloud specialists.
These services refer directly to the implementation of migration. We provide the following options:
System migration
It is end-to-end migration ("lift-and-shift" transfer of data from one software tool to another), including migration from legacy system to Dynamics 365, migration from SAP, Oracle, Zoho, Creatio to Dynamics 365, from other platforms / third-parties to D365 or from custom CRM system to Dynamics 365 CRM.
Application migration or Dynamics 365 version upgrades
It involves moving applications between environments, such as moving on-premises applications to the cloud or upgrading to a newer version of Dynamics 365.
Platform migration
It includes migration from Dynamics 365 on-premises to the cloud, redesigns core operations and workflows, updating data and system configurations.
Tenant migration
It is tenant-to-tenant or cross-tenant migration from one D365/M365 environment to another.
Infrastructure migration
It involves moving a company's IT infrastructure, such as servers and storage, from one environment to another, like transitioning from on-premises to cloud, upgrading to a fully cloud-based CRM.
Database and storage migration
It involves transferring data from one storage solution to another.
Cloud-managed services and post-migration support ensure your system operates optimally, securely, and cost-effectively. They include post-migration support, ongoing management, and/or continuous monitoring, and further optimization.
Moving data, IT assets, and operations to the cloud enables companies to unify sprawling systems and siloed teams and achieve cloud readiness.
In addition to migration services, we implement custom solutions to realize the full business potential.
Wave-based or phased migration (for enterprises and holdings)
Data and business processes transformation
Successful restart or completion of the failed migration
Adoption and change management
We create a migration plan individually for each project. A detailed plan is the key to a successful migration, as data migration can have serious complications if not carefully planned from the start.
The preparation stage of data migration focuses on understanding “what” is being migrated and “where”. For example, from on-premises to the cloud or from another CRM system to Dynamics 365 Online.
UDS Systems step-by-step migration roadmap:
We analyze the client’s system and data model by reviewing the documentation, interviewing the users and stakeholders, and investigating the structure of the source database.
We create technical requirements for the new target environment or analyze the already established target environment. In this step, we can deploy a D365 Module or Power Apps, perform required customizations, develop business logic, and support user creation and licensing.
We create migration strategy documentation with timelines, procedures, and requirements.
We prepare data mapping from the source system to the target system at the table (entity) and column (field) levels. Also, we implement data transformation logic in case the data has to be changed in the migration process.
At this stage, we map all the users from the source system to the available ones from the target system.
Based on the migration logic, we determine the best migration tool (the UDS Migration tool, a custom tool, an SSIS platform) and configure and develop the required settings.
We perform a test migration from a copy of the production or another environment that fully matches the production database structure.
After the test migration, we conduct testing on the migration development team's side and on the client side (acceptance testing).
Before the production migration, we clean up the source system of the redundant historical data or exclude the data from the migration scope.
It depends on the source database size and may be as follows:
We stay in touch with our clients to resolve any post-migration issues that arise. Plus, we assist clients with installing and applying all the latest updates.

Hybrid cloud migration involves moving data, business applications, and workloads from on-premises to the cloud while keeping some assets at local sites. It includes coexistence setup, middleware, and synchronization with an integration-heavy architecture.
The advantages of hybrid cloud migration include reduced migration risks, phased rollouts, easy rollbacks, adoption across multiple, separate offices of large companies, and smart regulations in some industries. The potential disadvantages are sync issues, data duplication or loss, risk of data inconsistency, complex maintenance, no real-time, and slower system modernization.
Phased migration is one of the best cloud strategies. It involves moving IT assets and data in planned stages to avoid business disruption and mitigate risks.
The key advantages of phased migration include reduced downtime and disruption, the ability to test migration at every stage, and risk mitigation. The disadvantages are longer project duration, increased integration complexity, potential data loss, and temporary high costs to support both on-prem and off-prem environments.
The best migration type depends on the current system setup and business objectives. We prepare a cloud migration checklist to help our clients identify their business needs and select the best migration type.
