The predefined variants are where product dimensions, such as product color, size, and style, are taken as a basis.
The dimension-based variant is usually used in manufacturing. This configuration allows bills of materials (BOM) to be used, including components that can be used for further remanufacturing and standardization.
The constraint-based variant is used in all industries. This configuration allows access to all available attributes and components to describe possible product variants.

- Default units are set for product features per category but can be edited at the product level if necessary.

- The product has a packing hierarchy from which you can select inventory items, purchase items or sales items.
- Product data usage rules ensure the accuracy and consistency of information.
- The product data access rules can be defined both at the category level and at the individual product level.
- Features can be classified and published according to their purpose, for example, in an online store, on a product card, or in other use cases.
