How to protect personal data?

Data masking (obfuscation) is a data protection method that replaces original production data with fake data. The fake data has a similar structure to the original data but hides (masks) sensitive information. The main goal is to protect personal data while providing functional operation when the actual data
is not needed.

Data masking is typically applied to non-production environments for development, testing, migration, acceptance, training, analysis, outsourcing, etc. Masking allows users to perform their work fully, and the owner can be confident that their data is secure.

UDS Business Data Masking is a fast and secure tool for masking sensitive data in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE when moving it from a production to a development environment.

The user can mask data in a couple of clicks using the default settings. These settings are based on UDS Systems' years of experience working with Dynamics 365 and include the 12 most important entity records.

At the same time, UDS Business Data Masking is a highly customizable tool. Extra options, flexible settings, individually formed list of entities, modified views and parameters. Choose existing masking rules (substitution, random letters, clear value) or create new ones using our templates and code validation.

The masking process is non-reversible and non-stoppable. It occurs on the front and back end at once. The progress is displayed on a convenient information panel.
