Client’s Request

Web Application for Healthcare Based on .NET and React.js.

A company from Australia turned to us with a clear goal: they wanted a system to manage grants more effectively. Initially, it was intended to be a straightforward CRM setup. The internal grant team would handle everything, including entering contacts, registering companies, and managing the grants.

This initial plan was effective while the number of applications was still moderate. However, as more requests began to come in, it became increasingly complicated to keep up with the plan. It was obvious that the original plan had to be altered. Either they had to hire more people or find a better way to handle the early steps in the process.

Briefing

After several in-depth conversations with the client, we settled on a more scalable solution. Instead of the internal team handling everything, the idea was to let grantees take care of the initial steps, including submitting their contact details, uploading documents, and completing their application. The internal team would still run the key tasks: reviewing, verifying, and approving each submission. It would provide the client with more breathing room without losing control of the process.

Preparation

Web Application for Healthcare Based on Dynamics 365, Power Apps and Power Automate

Once we had developed a plan, we jumped into the design phase. We explored different options and agreed that Microsoft Power Pages was the best fit. It had the flexibility we needed, and thanks to Microsoft’s low-code/no-code tools, we could build it quickly and adapt along the way.

We broke the portal down into five core areas:

  • Contact registration. Users could create their own accounts using B2C sign-in.

  • Users could create their own accounts using B2C sign-in. Grantees could upload supporting documents straight into SharePoint.

  • User management. A user could assign a “main grantee” role to someone within their company.

  • Award experience. Grantees could log in to see the decision from the Grant Committee and respond accordingly.

  • Post-award experience. Uploading receipts and confirming how funds had been spent could be done.

This set-up made the process smoother for grantees while still giving the client full control over what mattered most.
